The 2024+ Honda Prologue EX and Touring trims ship on a 19×8.5” alloy wheel with a factory 255/60R19 Bridgestone Alenza A/S 02. The Elite AWD trim uses a larger 21-inch wheel covered in our Prologue 21” OEM tire replacement guide.

OEM Wheel and Tire Specs

EX and Touring trims in both FWD and AWD ship on a 19×8.5-inch wheel at +37mm offset, 6×132 bolt pattern, and 74.5mm centerbore.

The Bridgestone Alenza A/S 02 carries a TPC Spec label. TPC Spec (Tire Performance Criteria Specification) means a tire meets the specific handling, safety, and ride comfort standards that General Motors requires for their vehicles. The Prologue shares its Ultium platform with the Blazer EV and Equinox EV, all of which use TPC Spec tires from the factory. You do not need to buy a TPC Spec tire when replacing your OEM tires. Any tire meeting the size, load index, and speed rating requirements is a valid replacement.

Before You Buy

Tire size. The OEM size is 255/60R19. Two common alternatives fit the 8.5-inch rim: the 265/60R19, which maintains the 60-series profile and is roughly 1.5% larger in overall diameter, and the 265/55R19, which has a slightly lower profile and is roughly 1.8% smaller in overall diameter. Both stay within the safe ±3% diameter threshold. For all compatible sizes, see the 255/60R19 tire table.

Load index. The OEM tire carries a 109 load index at standard load (SL). Match or exceed 109 on all four corners when replacing.

TPMS. The Prologue uses direct TPMS with 433 MHz sensors. Sensors stay in the wheel during a standard tire swap and do not need to be replaced. A TPMS relearn is required after mounting new tires.

Spare / Tire Mobility Kit. The Prologue does not include an OEM spare tire. Honda provides a Tire Sealant and Compressor Kit in the cargo area. The kit handles small punctures only and will not seal a sidewall blowout. Consider roadside assistance coverage if you drive long distances away from service.

AWD tire replacement. Honda recommends replacing all four tires simultaneously on AWD Prologue variants. If replacing in pairs, consult your owner’s manual for the allowable tread depth variance between axles before proceeding.

Grand Touring All-Season

The Bridgestone Alenza A/S 02 is a grand touring all-season: quiet, comfortable, and built to handle rain and light snow without requiring seasonal swaps. This is the best choice for most Prologue owners.

The Michelin CrossClimate 2 is worth considering if you see significant winter weather — it carries the 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) rating that the Alenza A/S 02 does not. Vredestein’s tires consistently test well against higher-priced competition at noticeably lower prices and are worth a look if budget matters.

Ultra High Performance All-Season

If you want sharper handling without giving up year-round usability, ultra high performance all-season tires improve cornering response and wet grip meaningfully over the OEM grand touring spec. The Prologue’s instant EV torque responds well to a firmer, more responsive compound.

The Prologue’s larger tire size means Summer Performance tires in 19” sizes for the Prologue are very limited. See our 255/60R19 tire table or tire size comparison calculator for alternative sizes in different diameters.

Winter Tires

Cold weather cuts EV range and limits the grip of all-season tires simultaneously. A dedicated winter set handles both problems. If you regularly drive in snow or ice, a seasonal swap is the right call. Sizing is limited in the OEM 255/60R19, but Tire Rack offers pre-packaged Prologue winter wheel-and-tire sets in a more practical 18” diameter.

Performance Winter and Snow

Performance winter tires carry a 3PMSF rating and are fully winter-capable, but prioritize dry and wet handling alongside snow traction. The right choice for owners who cover highway miles through winter and want confident grip without sacrificing all handling dynamics.

Studless Ice and Snow

Studless ice and snow tires maximize winter traction on ice, packed snow, and in severe cold. Dry-road handling is softer than a performance winter, but in genuinely harsh conditions these tires make a measurable safety difference.

Mounting and Installation

If you do not already have a relationship with a local tire shop, Tire Rack ships tires to their highly-rated network of local installers who will mount, balance, and install. Order online and drive to your nearest installer.

  • TPMS sensors stay in the wheel. Do not pay for new sensors on a routine replacement.
  • TPMS relearn sequence. After mounting, open the Tire Pressure Display in the in-vehicle information center and press the relearn button. Then release a small amount of air from each tire in this order: driver front → passenger front → passenger rear → driver rear. The horn will honk once as each sensor registers, and the display will show that corner’s pressure reading. Repeat for all four tires until the relearn completes.
  • Lug torque. Torque lug nuts to 140 lb-ft.
  • Tire Mobility Kit. There is no spare tire. Keep the OEM Tire Sealant and Compressor Kit in the cargo area.
  • AWD tread depth tolerance. Honda recommends replacing all four tires at once on AWD variants. Consult your owner’s manual for the specific allowable tread depth variance if replacing in pairs.
  • New tires go on the rear. When replacing in pairs on FWD variants, always install the newer tires on the rear axle.
