The 2024+ Tesla Cybertruck Premium AWD and Tri-Motor Cyberbeast ship on 20x9” wheels with a standard 6×139.7 bolt pattern. Both trims come standard with the Core Wheels and are wrapped in 285/65R20 Pirelli Scorpion ATR tires, an on-road all-terrain tire with a T0 Tesla designation and PNCS acoustic foam. The optional Cyber Wheels come with Goodyear Wrangler Territory RT Rugged All-Terrain tires for off-road-bound Cybertrucks. For the Standard Dual Motor AWD’s 18” wheels, see the 18” tire guide.
OEM Wheel and Tire Specs
Both the Core and Cyber 20” OEM wheels measure 20x9” with a +58.5 offset, a 6×139.7 bolt pattern, and an 84mm centerbore. The Cybertruck trim naming has shifted since launch. Tesla introduced the Cybertruck with two configurations: the Dual-Motor AWD (now called Premium AWD) and the Tri-Motor Cyberbeast. Both were available in the release edition Foundation Series which included laser-etched badging, Full Self-Driving, home backup hardware, and the Cyber Wheels. The “Standard” Dual Motor AWD, which ships on 18” wheels, was introduced in February 2026. Tesla has previously referred to the current Premium AWD trim as “AWD,” “Standard,” and “Premium AWD” at various points. If you are unsure which trim you have, 20” factory wheels mean the current Premium AWD or Cyberbeast while 18” wheels mean Standard Dual Motor AWD.
| Tire Model | Size | Load/Speed | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pirelli Scorpion ATR | 285/65R20 | 116H XL | T0 CYBRTRK, PNCS, Standard OEM |
| Goodyear Wrangler Territory RT | LT285/65R20 | 123/120H | T2 Tesla, SoundComfort Tech, Optional OEM |
The T0 CYBRTRK designation on the Pirelli indicates Tesla-specific noise, ride, and range validation in addition to a Cybertruck-specific design that is meant to aesthetically accent the OEM wheel covers. The PNCS designation indicates a Pirelli Noise Cancelling System foam inner liner. You do not need to buy a T0 or T2 tire to replace your existing tires. Many owners have reported that the factory wheel covers work well with non-T# designated tires as they sit far enough off the wheel, with a select few reporting the early wheel cover rubbing on the sidewall. Tesla released a revised aero wheel cover to prevent sidewall scuffing.
The Cyber Wheels’ Goodyear Wrangler Territory RT comes in LT285/65R20, LT-metric sizing, and a dual load rating of 123/120H, indicating its maximum load in single and dual-fitment applications respectively. As the Cybertruck is not a dually, the 123 load rating is the relevant number. It is a load range E tire with 10-ply construction that is heavier and more puncture-resistant than the Pirelli’s passenger-metric sizing with a noticeably different driving character. The T2 Tesla model of this tire comes with the Cybertruck aero cover specific sidewall design as well as Goodyear’s SoundComfort Tech inner foam liner.
Known issue: Early production Cybertrucks experienced acoustic foam separation. The foam band debonds from the inner liner causing persistent highway vibration that wheel balancing cannot fix. If you are experiencing unexplained vibration, have your tire dismounted and inspected for foam detachment.
Before You Buy
Tire size. The OEM size is 285/65R20 or LT285/65R20. The LT285/65R20 is nominally the same diameter with a heavier-duty internal construction. Any replacement should stay within ±3% of the OEM overall diameter to keep speedometer and odometer readings accurate. Significant upsizing or downsizing will affect these readings and may affect TPMS function. If moving to a slightly smaller tire you can change the Wheel and Tire Configuration in the onboard computer to 18” Standard. The 285/70R18 on the Standard Dual Motor AWD is about 2.5% smaller.
The tire availability tables on this page include a few alternative sizes that are within ±3% of the OEM diameter and have been run on the OEM 20×9” Cybertruck wheel. 275/65R20 and 275/70R20 are 10mm narrower than OEM. The tradeoff is a marginally narrower contact patch for slightly better rolling resistance. 295/60R20 and 295/65R20 are 10mm wider. The wider treadwidth fills the 9” wheel well and increases the contact patch. Best suited for owners prioritizing road presence and more rubber on the road. For flotation sizes, the OE tire is very close to a 35x11.5R20 and a 275/70R20 is close to a 35x11R20.
See the 285/65R20 or 285/70R18 tire tables to see other compatible sizes within a ±3% diameter of the OE Cybertruck sizes.
Wheel Covers. As mentioned above, early production wheel covers may rub against sidewalls of non-OE spec tires that do not have the sidewall allowances for the covers. Check the clearance of your covers if replacing with non-OE tires as you may need to also source the V2 aero covers.
Load index. The weight of the Cybertruck makes load capacity a real engineering concern. When specifying a passenger-metric replacement tire, ensure that it carries an XL load rating and a load index of at least 116. If replacing with an LT-metric tire, match or exceed the 123 of the 123/120H dual rating. Do not substitute a lower load index tire.
Acoustic foam liner. Both Core and Cyber OEM wheel options feature tires with a foam inner lining. The Cybertruck’s stainless body structure and large cabin volume mean cabin resonance can be noticeable. If road noise is a priority, look for a foam-lined replacement. Very few all-terrain tires include foam liners and most owners replacing with a non-foam tire do not report significant issues.
TPMS. The Cybertruck uses BLE Bluetooth TPMS sensors. These sensors stay in the wheel during a standard tire swap. The installer demounts the old tire, mounts the new one, and the sensor is not disturbed. You should not be charged for new sensors on a standard replacement. After a swap, recalibrate via Controls > Service > Wheel & Tire > Tires on the touchscreen, select your configuration, and tap Reset. Drive over 15 mph for a few minutes for the system to learn the new pressures.
Spare Tire and Toolkit. The Cybertruck does not include a spare tire or tire mobility kit from the factory. Tesla offers an optional spare tire and tool kit through their online store that is designed to be strapped down in the Gear Locker. Owners who travel off-pavement or in remote areas should seriously consider this upgrade.
AWD tread depth tolerance. When replacing tires in pairs rather than all four, put the tires with the most remaining tread on the rear axle. The Cybertruck’s torque output makes rear traction a priority. Full four-tire replacement is preferred when the tread depth difference between axles exceeds 2/32”.
On-Road All-Terrain
The OEM Pirelli Scorpion ATR is an on-road all-terrain tire. For the vast majority of Cybertruck owners these are the appropriate tire as they are quieter and more highway-comfortable than a true rugged all-terrain. Owners who want a like-for-like replacement, or who use the truck primarily on pavement with very occasional dirt or gravel, should start here.

Off-Road All-Terrain
Off-road all-terrain tires step up from the OEM on-road category with more aggressive tread patterns, deeper voids, and compounds tuned for loose and technical surfaces. They are popular with overlanders and suited to owners who regularly run forest service roads, rocky tracks, or moderate trail terrain but still need to commute on pavement. Expect more road noise and slightly higher rolling resistance than an on-road all-terrain tire in exchange for meaningfully more off-road grip.

Rugged All-Terrain
The optional OEM Goodyear Wrangler Territory RT represents the factory rugged all-terrain option. Owners who use the Cybertruck as a work truck, haul heavy loads, or regularly drive unpaved roads will prefer this category. These tires sacrifice some on-road refinement and fuel efficiency for significantly improved off-road grip, puncture resistance, and load capacity.

Off-Road Max Traction
Max traction tires, also known as mud terrains, are for owners who take the Cybertruck to serious off-road destinations: rock crawling, deep mud, sand, and technical trails where traction is the only variable that matters. The open, aggressive tread blocks that provide this capability come with real on-road tradeoffs: significantly more highway noise, reduced tread life, and higher rolling resistance than any all-terrain category. Furthermore, Off-Road Max Traction tires are mediocre to poor in the snow.

Winter
The Cybertruck Premium AWD and Cyberbeast deliver substantial torque at all four wheels, which increases the importance of winter traction over a comparable ICE truck. In serious winter conditions, the OEM all-terrain tires are not adequate substitutes for dedicated winter tires. A seasonal swap to a second set of 18” wheels with winter tires mounted is the most practical long-term approach at this vehicle size. Be sure your 18” wheels have a sufficient load rating for the Cybertruck and that they fit over the brake calipers. Additionally, the brake harmonic attachment will need to be removed from the control arm assembly to fit 18”s.
Tesla offers a winter wheel package option for the Cybertruck in both Core and Cyber Wheels. The Pirelli Scorpion Winter 2 in 285/65R20, carrying a T0 Tesla designation and PNCS foam lining, is the OE supplied winter tire. This is also the primary performance winter option for owners who want to stay on the OEM 20” wheels through winter.
Performance Winter and Snow
Performance winter tires deliver 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake-rated winter capability while retaining meaningful dry-road handling. Suitable for owners in climates with regular but not severe winters.

Studless Ice and Snow
Studless ice and snow tires prioritize maximum grip in severe winter conditions — ice, packed snow, and deep cold — at the expense of dry-road performance and tread life. Best suited for owners in regions with long, harsh winters. Due to the stock Cybertruck tire size being very large, tire choices for studless ice and snow are limited and it is recommended to move to an 18” wheel.

Mounting and Installation
A few reminders specific to the Cybertruck:
- TPMS sensors stay in the wheel. The Cybertruck uses BLE Bluetooth TPMS sensors integrated into the valve stem. Do not pay for new sensors on a standard tire swap. A valve stem seal check is normal.
- Recalibrate TPMS after the swap via the touchscreen: Controls > Service > Wheel & Tire > Tires. Select your configuration, tap Reset, then drive over 15 mph for a few minutes.
- Lug torque spec: 151 lb-ft (205 Nm). Confirm your installer uses the correct spec and a calibrated torque wrench.
- No spare is included from the factory. The optional Tesla spare tire and tool kit is available through Tesla’s online store. Strongly recommended for off-road or remote use.
- New tires go on the rear. When replacing in pairs, put the tires with the most remaining tread on the rear axle.
