The 20” Warp wheel is exclusive to the 2024+ Tesla Model 3 Performance. It runs a staggered fitment of 235/35R20 front and 275/30R20 rear, with forged aluminum construction optimized for minimum weight. The wider rear contact patch supports the platform’s rear-biased torque output and provides the lateral stability the Performance trim is tuned around. For 18” wheels see the 18” guide. For 19” wheels see the 19” guide. For the non-staggered 2017–2023 Model 3 20” Uberturbines see the Gen 1 20” guide.

OEM Wheel and Tire Specs

The 20” Warp uses a staggered wheel pair: 20×9.0” front at +34mm offset and 20×10.0” rear at +45mm offset, both with a 5×114.3 bolt pattern and 64.1mm centerbore. Tesla offers the Warp with the choice of a summer and an all-season OEM tire, both with PNCS acoustic foam and T0 or T1 Tesla designations.

The T0 and T1 designations indicate Tesla’s testing and certification for noise, ride, and range, and that Pirelli paid for that certification. You do not need a T0 or T1 tire to replace your existing tires. The PNCS (Pirelli Noise Cancelling System) foam liner is fitted on both OEM options.

Before You Buy

Tire size. The OEM staggered fitment is 235/35R20 front and 275/30R20 rear. Despite the different treadwidths, both sizes share the same theoretical overall diameter of 67.3 cm, which is why Tesla uses this combination on an AWD vehicle. Common alternate staggered pairs are 245/35R20 front × 275/30R20 rear and 245/35R20 front × 285/30R20 rear. Moving to a 245 front provides a larger front contact patch and better wheel protection. See the 235/35R20 and 275/30R20 tire tables for additional compatible sizes.

Load index. Use XL-rated tires with at least a 92 load index front and at least a 97 load index rear, matching the OEM service descriptions. Standard Load tires in these sizes carry insufficient load ratings for the Model 3 Performance.

Acoustic foam liner. Both OEM Pirelli tires ship with PNCS foam liner. Look for tires labeled “Acoustic” (Michelin), “ContiSilent” (Continental), “PNCS” (Pirelli), or “SoundComfort” (Goodyear) if road noise matters to you. Foam inner liners complicate plug-and-patch repairs and most shops will decline this work. Many owners specifically choose tires without foam when replacing the OE tires and observe minimal increases in road noise without the liner.

Staggered fitment: no rotation. The 235/35R20 front and 275/30R20 rear sizes cannot be rotated. Rear tires will wear faster than fronts due to the Performance’s rear-biased torque delivery. Replace each axle pair independently when worn. You do not need to replace all four at once unless all four are equally worn.

Tread depth difference. Because the two OEM tire sizes share the same theoretical overall diameter, the AWD system is calibrated for that match. Maintain the tread depth difference between the front and rear axles at or under 2/32” to keep the drivetrain operating within spec. When one axle is significantly more worn than the other, replace that axle’s pair.

TPMS. The Model 3 uses direct TPMS with sensors integrated into the valve stem assembly. During a tire swap the valve stem and sensor stay in the wheel — the installer demounts the old tire, mounts the new one, and the sensor is never disturbed. You should not be charged for a new sensor on a standard replacement. A valve stem seal inspection or replacement is normal and inexpensive. After the swap, recalibrate via Controls > Service > TPMS Calibration on the touchscreen.

Spare tire and toolkit. The Model 3 includes a sealant and compressor kit but no full-size spare. Tesla 24/7 roadside assistance is available through the app.

Ultra High Performance All-Season

Ultra High Performance All-Season tires balance handling sharpness with year-round usability at a meaningful step up in grip from the grand touring category. UHPAS tires sharpen the Model 3 without locking you out of capable wet weather performance and the ability to handle light snow.

The Pirelli P Zero MS is the factory all-season option from Tesla. It has limited size availability and trails in consumer ratings to the Michelin and Continental category stalwarts. The Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 Plus earns our recommendation for UHPAS tires for the Model 3.

Summer Performance

The Pirelli P Zero (PZ4) is the summer OEM option for the Model 3 Performance and the natural tire category for the platform. Summer tires deliver meaningfully better dry and wet grip, sharper turn-in, and shorter braking distances than any all-season. The compound is optimized for warm temperatures and should not be used below 40°F.

There are far better performers than the OE-spec Pirelli. Choose an Extreme Performance Summer tire if you expect to autocross or see track time, or a Max Performance Summer tire if you do not. Performance summer tires are a crowded segment with many more choices than listed above. Visit TireRack to find full availability in 235/35R20 and 275/30R20 sizing.

Winter

If you live somewhere with real winter, a dedicated seasonal swap is the correct answer. The stopping distance difference between a winter tire and an all-season on ice is significant, and the Performance trim’s power delivery makes winter traction more important, not less. Running a second set of wheels with dedicated winter tires is the most cost-effective approach for Model 3 Performance owners. A smaller diameter means lower-cost tires, more sidewall for impact absorption, and a much wider selection of available winter compounds. 19” is the safest bet for a winter wheel diameter as 18” wheels may or may not clear the Performance’s upgraded brake calipers depending on the specific wheel, so we are not recommending a specific 18” fitment here.

Tesla’s OEM Winter Wheel Package for the 2024+ Model 3 is a staggered 19” combination. The Gemini Dark wheels measure 19x8.5” front and 19x10” rear, with Pirelli P Zero Winter tires in 235/40R19 and 265/35R19, respectively. These carry the T0 Tesla designation with Pirelli PNCS foam lining. For owners committed to running winter tires on the OEM 20” wheels, winter options in the staggered sizes are limited. A staggered non-rotatable setup means you absorb the full cost of rear wear without the ability to balance it with rotation.

The most practical winter approach is a second set of 18” or 19” wheels with square (non-staggered) winter tires. Dropping to a smaller wheel gives you more sidewall for snow penetration, lowers unsprung weight, and substantially increases the selection of winter tires available to you. See the 19” guide for sizing and visit TireRack for winter wheel and tire packages configured for the Model 3 Performance.

Performance Winter and Snow

Performance winter tires deliver 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake-rated capability while retaining meaningful dry and wet handling for drivers who cover highway miles in winter. This is the most available winter category in the 20” staggered sizes.

Studless Ice and Snow

Studless ice and snow tires prioritize maximum traction in severe winter conditions at the expense of dry-road performance and tread life. Selection in both OEM staggered sizes is extremely limited. A second set of 18” or 19” wheels is strongly preferred for serious winter use.

Mounting and Installation

A few reminders specific to the Model 3 Performance:

  • TPMS sensors stay in the wheel. Do not pay for new sensors on a standard tire swap. A valve stem seal check is normal; a replacement sensor unit is not necessary unless your existing sensor has failed.
  • Recalibrate TPMS after the swap via the touchscreen: Controls > Service > TPMS Calibration.
  • Lug nut torque spec: 129 lb-ft. Confirm your installer uses this spec with a properly calibrated torque wrench.
  • Tire mobility kit included. The Highland ships with a sealant and compressor kit — no full-size spare. Tesla roadside assistance is available 24/7 through the app.
  • Tires cannot be rotated. The staggered 235/35R20 front and 275/30R20 rear fitment means no front-to-rear rotation is possible. Replace each axle pair independently when worn.
  • Maintain tread depth balance. Keep the tread depth difference between front and rear axles at or under 2/32”. Both OEM sizes share the same theoretical overall diameter, and the AWD system is tuned to that match.
  • New tires go on the rear. When replacing a single axle pair, always put the newer tires on the rear axle to support the Performance trim’s rear-biased torque delivery.
